Connecting Inland Northwest and Western Montana.
Intermountain Infrastructure Group (IIG) is proud to announce the activation of our newly completed fiber optic network between Sandpoint, Idaho and Missoula, Montana—a major milestone and one of the final segments completing our Northern Rockies network.
Spanning challenging terrain across state lines, rivers, and mountain canyons, this build completes a new 1,000-mile connectivity corridor between the Inland Northwest and Northern Wyoming, delivering additional path diversity and scalable capacity for carriers, hyperscalers, enterprises, and public sector networks.
Engineered for both scale and resiliency, the system’s design supports immediate deployments while providing the infrastructure required for long-term growth. The route also enhances network reliability by introducing additional long-haul options across a corridor experiencing increasing demand for high-capacity fiber infrastructure.
With the Sandpoint–Missoula segment now live—and already carrying significant capacity—IIG continues to advance its mission of building and operating carrier-grade fiber infrastructure that supports the next generation of digital connectivity throughout the Northwest.
We look forward to working with our partners and customers to bring new services online along this important corridor.
