We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Program Manager to oversee the implementation of fiber optic services for clients. Reporting to the Director of Support Operations, the successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing customer onboarding and project implementation in the construction and telecom sectors. This role is crucial in ensuring that our clients receive top-tier service and that projects are delivered smoothly and efficiently. Candidate must also be willing to travel as business needs require to support and advance ongoing projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Customer Onboarding & Project Kickoff:
- Lead the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
- Develop and execute project kickoff plans, outlining objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Implementation Oversight:
- Manage the end-to-end implementation of fiber optic projects, including coordination with internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Ensure projects are executed according to client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the implementation phase.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and effectively.
- Project Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Coordinate site visits, technical assessments, and other activities required for successful project implementation.
- Issue Resolution & Risk Management:
- Identify potential issues and risks during the implementation process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide timely resolutions to any challenges that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to the project.
- Quality Assurance:
- Monitor the quality of work and ensure that all deliverables meet client expectations and industry standards.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present implementation status reports and updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records of project progress, client interactions, and implementation activities.
- Continued development and documentation of all internal processes inline with industry best-practices that support scale and efficiency.
Critical Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Telecommunications, or a related field preferred. Industry, work related experience in lieu of a college degree to be considered as well.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer implementation, program management or project management, with a focus on construction and fiber optic services.
- PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of fiber optic technology, installation, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of construction methodologies and industry standards.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage client relationships effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex implementation challenges.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
